On December 30, 2025, Kim Taehyung — widely known as V from the global megaband BTS — celebrated his 30th birthday, and fans across the world marked the occasion with some of the most ambitious fan projects ever seen. Instead of simple birthday posts, Fans organized grand tributes that captured global attention and reflected just how powerful and creative modern fandoms have become.

One of the most eye-catching gestures came from fans in China, who sponsored a commercial aircraft adorned with V-themed imagery for a full month in his honor. From December 30, 2025, to January 30, 2026, the airplane — fully wrapped with V’s visuals and celebratory graphics — served both as a flying birthday billboard and a fan-made spectacle visible to passengers and observers alike. While the aircraft itself was not purchased, the project involved significant coordination and expense to decorate and operate it with V’s birthday 

Across Asia and beyond, fans also lit up huge digital billboards, mega screens and public displays with birthday messages for the singer — further transforming the day into a worldwide celebration of V’s influence and artistic impact. 

This remarkable tribute underscores the evolving nature of global fan initiatives: rather than just sending gifts, fans now create high-visibility public experiences that reach millions of people across continents.
