Usually, when you enlist in the military and take your first group photo, you look the worst.

Even though they have tanned faces and wear neat clothes, they all look dull because they have been through hardships they never experienced before.

Of course, it's not as much as when I was in society, but it's amazing that I can get photos like that even then.
