The competition among the most popular actors who shined throughout this year is heating up.

As global fandom platform Upic is introducing a special new vote to celebrate the end of the year, voting for the '2024 Global Hot Character Awards' opened at noon on the 6th.

Actor Byun Woo-seok, who has won first place for six consecutive years in the 'Hot Character Awards' voting, rose to the top ranks as soon as voting opened, followed by Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Jun-myeon.

Group A is fiercely contested among strong candidates including Byun Woo-seok, who has been ranked first for six consecutive years, Lee Seung-gi, Cha Eun-woo, Song Kang, Do Kyung-soo, and Jung So-min.

The '2024 Global Hot Character Awards' preliminary voting, which will be held until the 17th, will be conducted in a tournament format with a total of 34 candidates divided into Group A and Group B. After that, the top 3 actors from each group will advance to the final voting.

With about ten days left until the preliminary voting, attention is focused on which actors will advance to the final voting starting on the 18th.

Voting for the '2024 Global Hot Character Awards' and '2024 Pick of the Year' is currently underway on U-Pick, and another year-end vote, the '2024 Best Position Awards', will open on the 16th.
