'Living in a Three-Bedroom Apartment in Finland' is receiving a record-breaking response not only in Korea but also in Asia.
According to the weekly chart for the 4th week of December (December 16th - December 22nd) announced by Viu, Asia's largest pan-regional OTT platform, on the 26th, the tvN entertainment show 'Rented In Finland' (English title: Rented In Finland) garnered attention by taking first place in the non-drama category in Indonesia and Thailand. It also ranked second in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, showing its great love throughout Southeast Asia.
'Living in a Three-Bedroom House in Finland' is a program that captures the local life of city-born actors in a rural Finnish village without electricity, water, or Wi-Fi. The program, which garnered attention even before its airing with its stellar cast including Lee Je-hoon, Lee Dong-hwi, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Cha Eun-woo, is captivating viewers with the chemistry between the actors in a unique environment and unexpected daily episodes.
The reason why this program was able to receive so much attention overseas in such a short period of time was because Lee Je-hoon's 'Taxi Driver' series and Cha Eun-woo's 'True Beauty' and 'Today is Lovely' have consistently shown high performance on Viu. The fandom they have built up is leading to new challenges, and despite the special nature of the entertainment genre, they are widely loved as a result.
Viu is a pan-regional OTT platform of PCCW in Hong Kong that is introducing popular Korean content to 16 countries overseas, including Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, and is ranked 2nd in the OTT market share in Southeast Asia (according to MPA statistics). It is currently receiving love from global viewers by introducing various K-contents such as the dramas 'The Story of Madame Ok', 'Drunken Romance', and 'The Iron Family'.
