G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong) has acquired the trademark rights to his stage names 'G-Dragon' and 'GD' from his former agency YG Entertainment.
On the 2nd, an official from G-Dragon's current agency, Galaxy Corporation, stated, "It is true that Galaxy Corporation currently owns the trademarks for 'G-Dragon' and 'GD'," and "We received the trademarks without compensation thanks to the consideration of YG CEO Yang Hyun-suk."

I heard that GD is currently working as a visiting professor at KAIST. I'm surprised that YG gave him the trademark rights so easily. I'm looking forward to his comeback soon.
