Dragon and American pop star Anders Paak will appear on Mnet's 'MAMA Awards'.
CJ ENM, the operator of Mnet, held a press premiere event at its headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 29th to announce the performance plans, lineup that will appear on stage, and hosts.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the 'MAMA Awards' will hold its awards ceremony in the United States for the first time. The 'MAMA Awards US' will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (LA) on the 21st of next month (local time), followed by the 'MAMA Awards Japan' at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan, two hours later on the 22nd and 23rd.
CJ ENM CP Yoon Shin-hye, who oversees production, said ahead of their first foray into the United States, "The United States is an important region with the world's largest music market," and explained, "The 'MAMA Awards' has never hesitated to be the first for 25 years, and with a sense of mission that someone must take the first step, they are challenging the United States performance."
G-Dragon will be performing at the 'MAMA Awards' for the first time in 9 years.
