(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Joo-sung Choi = Girl group Blackpink's Rosé and New Jeans each won awards at the Japanese music awards ceremony 'Music Awards Japan'.
According to the Music Awards Japan homepage on the 22nd, Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet song "APT." won "Best International Pop Song in Japan," and New Jeans' "Ditto" won "Best K-Pop Song in Japan."
The Music Awards Japan, held for the first time this year, is an awards ceremony created in cooperation with five major local organizations including the Recording Industry Association of Japan and government agencies. Winners are determined by combining music indices such as Billboard Japan and Oricon and votes from music industry professionals.
