[My Daily = Reporter Nam Hye-yeon] Blackpink member Rosé mentioned the other Blackpink members once again.
Rosé's 'APT.', which remains the biggest hit of her life, won the main award at the '2025 MTV Video Music Awards' (hereafter 'MTV VMA'), which is considered one of the four major American pop music awards ceremonies.
Rosé won the main award, 'Song of the Year', for her duet song 'APT.' with pop star Bruno Mars at the '2025 MTV Video Music Awards' held at the UBS Arena in New York, USA on the 7th (local time).
This is the first time a K-pop singer has won an award in this category.
Rosé, who came on stage in a gold dress, began by saying, "I can't believe it," and added, "I'm so grateful to Bruno (Mars) for believing in me and helping me first. I'm happy to receive this award because it's a moment when all my hard work is rewarded."
While giving her acceptance speech, Rosé also mentioned producer Teddy and the members of Blackpink in Korean. Rosé said with a smile, "Teddy, I won this award. Blackpink members, I won this award. I'm always grateful and I love you."
Rosé, who has been nominated in eight categories at this year's VMAs, is aiming for multiple awards including the main award, 'Video of the Year', and 'Best Pop'.
The Best K-Pop category, for which Rosé was nominated, went to fellow Blackpink member Lisa. Lisa won Best K-Pop for "Born Again," which she sang with pop stars Doja Cat and Lay.
Lisa won the 'Best K-Pop' trophy for the second consecutive year and the third time overall.
