On the 8th, TJ Media (TJ Media) announced that as of September 2024, BTOB member Lee Chang-sub's 'Cheon Sang-yeon' has been holding the number one spot on the karaoke popularity chart for 6 months.
'Cheon Sang Yeon' is a remake version of a song released by male duo Can in 1998 by Lee Chang-sub, and has maintained a high ranking on karaoke popularity charts since its release.
According to TJ Media, due to the popularity of Lee Chang-sub's remake song, the original song, Can's 'Cheon Sang-yeon', also saw its monthly average number of plays increase by more than four times compared to last year.
TJ Media explained that the original song is receiving attention again due to the release of the remake song, and that the song can still be enjoyed with a clear sound even after more than a decade, as "the result of constant content improvement."
