[NEW] [BTS Jimin's Bingeul] - In the name of that man, episode 2
Author: sjnarwhal707
I held my breath as I listened to him. Hospital? Is this guy really going to stand in front of us again now?
"You come here now and you want to step into our midst?"
I glared at Jimin with cold eyes. He had long since learned to hide his emotions from me, but I knew that when he said something like that, he had already made up his mind.
Jimin looked at me quietly. His eyes seemed to want to say something. But no matter what he said, I wouldn't accept it.
"There's a bruise on the kid's arm. It could just be a simple contusion, but just in case."
He spoke calmly, but his gaze did not leave me for even a moment.
"I'll take care of it. You don't need to worry about our child."
“Our child.” Jimin repeated softly. He could feel the emotion buried in his words. “Do you really think that way?”
I didn't answer. I just pointed toward the door and said again.
"Go now."
But Jimin didn't move. Instead, he took a step closer. His scent, which was getting closer, took my breath away. A familiar scent, but one that had long since ceased to be mine.
"My lady."
That voice calling my name again. It was so gentle, but at the same time, it felt like it was pushing me over the edge.
I took another deep breath. I couldn't let it fall apart.
"We're done. It's been two years since we divorced. We've been living well during that time. So don't do this anymore."
"You lived well?"
A faint smile crossed Jimin's face, but his eyes weren't smiling.
"Then why do you still have a ring mark on your left hand?"
I instinctively covered my hand. But it was too late. He had seen it.
"You left first."
My soft words dispersed into the air.
Jimin's expression froze for a moment. His chest rose and fell quietly as he took a deep breath.
"Yes, I left. But you know, it wasn't just me leaving."
I looked straight at him. It was only then that I realized that my hands were shaking without me knowing it.
Jimin paused for a moment, then spoke in a low, calm voice.
"Tomorrow at 10 a.m. See you at the hospital."
And then he turned around without saying anything else.
I watched him walk away, clutching the cold doorknob tightly.
Why now?
Why did you appear in front of me again, Park Jimin?
The next day, in front of the hospital.
I stood at the hospital entrance, holding the child's hand tightly. Jimin was already there. He was wearing a black coat, holding a cup of coffee in one hand, and he quietly approached me as soon as he saw me.
"You're here."
I nodded silently. The child ran to Jimin happily and grabbed his hand. Watching that, I couldn’t help but feel complicated.
Upon entering the examination room, the doctor conducted a simple examination. Fortunately, there were no major problems. However, after the examination was over, Jimin said something unexpected.
"Lady, let us talk."
I was confused. Where the child is?
"What are you trying to say?"
"That night, about the reason I left."
For a moment, my mind went blank.
That night. Two years ago, the night when everything fell apart.
I bit my lip quietly. Was I really ready to tell that story now?
Jimin hesitated for a moment, then opened his mouth again.
"There's something you didn't know. That day, I..."
His voice was cracking. It was as if there was a bigger secret, a hidden story.
I glared at him, tightening my grip.
"I don't want to hear any more."
But Jimin just stared at me and said.
"But you have to hear it. The reason why you hate me so much, the real reason why I left that day."
At that moment, the phone rang in the hospital hallway. I picked up the phone with a nervous look.
And the moment I saw the name on the screen, my heart sank.
