Group Day6 revealed their feelings and nervousness about holding their 10th anniversary concert.
DAY6 opened the 10th anniversary tour 'DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour 'The DECADE'' at Goyang Stadium in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do at 6:30 PM on the 31st.
On this day, member Dowoon expressed his joy at the beginning of the performance, saying, "The outdoor stage is so great. It's so hot. I'm with My Day (fandom name) fans from all over the world through Beyond LIVE at the concert site." Dowoon also confessed, "Wonpil was very nervous before the performance," and "He was so nervous that he even prayed."
Young K said, "It was a setlist that allowed us to look back on the past 10 years. Our goal was to include the title tracks from all of our past albums. We wanted to have a time to look back." He continued, "I think I've lived hard and well. Many things have happened, but at this moment, standing on stage, I feel like I'm living a happy life. Thank you all. I want to keep walking together in the future. I'll work hard to be happy."
Also on this day, Sungjin said about his thoughts on the 10th anniversary concert, "We are a team that does this purely because we love music. It is you all who make us seem like we are. Of course, we are also proud that we have not thrown away a single song in the past 10 years. We have worked hard, but that does not mean that everything will go well unconditionally. It is always My Day who makes us who we are. We will do something until the day we breathe. We will return the abundant love, so I hope you will accept it little by little."
Wonpil said, "We are aware of the negative perceptions about us. We wanted to write good songs and show a good performance to deny those perceptions. When everyone else said no, you all believed in us. We have all done well and will continue to do well."
DAY6's Goyang concert, held as part of their 10th anniversary tour, took place on the 30th and 31st. They sold out all tickets for all shows when general tickets went on sale on the 11th. Starting with their debut at Yes24 Move Hall in 2015, they have steadily expanded their venues, reaching KSPO DOME in May. Notably, they became the first Korean band to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome, KSPO DOME, and Goyang Sports Complex in that order.
Meanwhile, DAY6 will release their new full-length album 'The DECADE' and the title tracks 'Dream Bus' and 'INSIDE OUT' on September 5th at 6 PM through various music sites.
You've done really well for the past 10 years and you'll do even better in the future.
