The band DAY6 shed tears as they looked back on the past 10 years.
On the 310th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' that aired on September 10th, dancer Park Ji-soo, who becomes a stage wherever she stands, national band Day6 celebrating their 10th debut anniversary, and actress Im Yoon-ah, who captivated the world with the drama 'The Tyrant's Chef', appeared and held a relay talk.
On this day, the members of Day6 (Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon) looked back on their journey over the past 10 years, from starting with a performance in a small theater with 150 seats to growing into a national band that sells out 40,000 concerts.
Dowoon recalled the four-year hiatus he endured after leader Sungjin halted activities due to anxiety in 2020 and enlisted in the military one after another, saying, "It was really hard. I felt like I had nothing to do without my brothers. I wasn't happy playing the drums. I was happy playing the drums for Day6."
Wonpil shared his thoughts at the time, saying, "It was so hard, but I thought, 'Someday we'll get together! We can't not do this. It's such a shame, us.'" Young K also said that he worked hard to ensure that DAY6's presence was not forgotten. After that, songs that had been released seven and five years ago began to reverse course. Young K expressed his joy, saying, "I'm the happiest right now."
Wonpil shed tears as he said, "What I want to say to myself 10 years ago," "You're doing great! Don't worry. Believe in yourself, and even if those around you shake you up, you're doing great. If you keep walking steadily, good days will surely come. There are many good people around you, so don't give up and keep going straight."
Meanwhile, "You Quiz on the Block" is a variety show where the big-hearted Yoo Jae-suk and the cute Jo Se-ho meet and chat with various people. It airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
