The band DAY6 (Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon) has reached the top of the Melon charts 9 years after their debut.

The title song 'Melting' from Day6's 9th mini album 'Band Aid', released at 6 PM on September 2nd, ranked first on Melon's TOP 100 chart, a major domestic music streaming site, as of 9 PM that day, just 3 hours after its release.

Earlier, "Melting" entered the chart at 5th place as of 7 PM based on the number of music streams in just one hour after its release. Not stopping there, it jumped up four places in just two hours amidst the interest and praise from numerous music fans. This is a whopping 25 places higher than the ranking (30th) of the title song "Welcome to the Show" from the previous album "Fourever," which was released after completing a hiatus from group activities due to military service in November of last year.

Interest in DAY6's new album is not limited to the title track. The tracks "Monster" ("Monster") and "She Laughed" ("She Smiled") entered the album at 22nd, "Manggeum" ("Manggeum") at 36th, "Help Me Rock&Roll" ("Rock & Roll") at 46th, "COUNTER" ("Counter") at 56th, "Still Living There" ("Still There") at 62nd, and "I'm Fine" ("I'm Fine") at 63rd, giving DAY6 its second consecutive album that made it onto the TOP 100 chart with all of its songs.

Day6's "Melting" took first place

I was even more excited because it was their first time at the top in 9 years. The song was good. I liked it even more because it was a warm and comforting song, just like DAY6. I feel happy just thinking about how happy the DAY6 members must be.
