Starting out as a planned band, Day6 is special in that they write and compose all of their own songs, unlike other K-pop groups, and have achieved independent growth. All of the members are not only good at singing, but also writing and composing. Young K, who wrote the lyrics for most of Day6's songs, rose to star status as a lyricist, writing for H.I.K.I's "The Rose That Bloomed Between Buildings," which was a huge hit last year, as well as songs for N-Mix, Eric Nam, GOT7, ZerobaseOne, and Ha Hyun-sang.

Ironically, the public's interest in DAY6 increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the group was on hiatus. Original member Jay left the group after suffering from psychological anxiety, and the other members enlisted in the military one by one, leading to a three-year hiatus until their comeback early this year. In the meantime, word of mouth about DAY6's songs spread through social media, and a steep reverse trajectory began. In particular, videos of their appearances on KBS's "Open Concert" in 2018 and KBS's "Immortal Songs" in 2022 during their military service period became topics of conversation again, recording around 5 million views.

At first, I was a bit surprised that Day6 was under JYP.
