― You wrote and composed all the songs in the new album. What did you focus on while working on the songs? Also, which song are you most attached to and why?

"Personally, I like music where the track, melody, and lyrics flow in the same direction. That's why I worked on the song by focusing on whether these elements fit together well, looking for elements that might scatter emotions, and refining them. The song I'm most attached to is 'I don't wanna lose.' It was the first song I wrote lyrics for for this album, so it took a long time to finish the song."

― The guide version video for 'Afraid' from the 6th mini album 'The Book of Us: The Demon' has surpassed 7 million views on YouTube. Many people have mentioned Sungjin's bold and appealing vocals, like in the song, as his charming point. If you could recommend a song in this album where you can hear that tone, please let us know.

"Thank you for your continued love for the 'Afraid' guide version video. Hmm... (thinking) Although the ending of the song is different, I think 'I don't wanna lose' is the song that best fits that criteria."

― "Wednesday Night", which was pre-released at your third fan meeting 'DAY6 3RD FANMEETING 'I Need My Day' held from June 21st to 23rd, is included in the album. Is there a special reason why you revealed this song before the official release of your new album? Also, during the fan meeting, you said that "Wednesday Night" was a song inspired by the emotions you felt when you were a DJ for KBS CoolFM's 'Station Z' radio and the time you shared with listeners. Is there a story or special episode that came up when you worked on this song?

"Since it was a gathering with many My Day members, I thought 'Wednesday Night', which depicts the time I spent with fans, was the most suitable song to perform at the fan meeting. The English lyrics for that song were based on what I wrote, and I received help from others. 'Nowhere to Be' is the only song in this album for which I didn't do a draft of the lyrics, so I worried in the beginning whether the message I was trying to convey was similar to the ending of the album. I think I was able to add my own unique color while changing the tone and expressions during the revision process. 'I don't wanna lose' took almost two months to complete because of my excessive greed to want to create a masterpiece(?). Thanks to that, I was able to finish working on the other songs relatively easily."

― From November 8th to 10th, you will be holding your first solo concert 'SUNGJIN SOLO CONCERT <30>' for three days at the Donghae Culture and Arts Center of Kwangwoon University in Seoul. Please tell us your thoughts ahead of your first solo concert and what your fans can look forward to from this concert.

"It still doesn't feel real. Since it's my first solo concert, I have a lot I want to say and I'm worried, but I just hope that we can finish the concert safely and that the audience will be satisfied that they came to see it. If DAY6's concert is a concert that we create together with the audience, I think my concert will be a concert where the audience mainly listens to and appreciates my solo music."

― You topped the music charts, sold out all your solo concerts at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul in April and Inspire Arena in Incheon in September, and are on a new world tour, so you are enjoying great popularity as DAY6, celebrating your 10th debut anniversary. What are your goals as a solo artist, and what kind of position do you want solo artist Sungjin and your music to have for music fans?

"Other than 'Let's Not Be DAY6', I don't have any specific goals as a solo artist. I just hope that my music can touch the hearts of those who come to me during the many moments we face in life, when we need empathy and comfort."
