Day6 Confirms Concert at Gocheok Dome in December 'First K-Pop Band'

The band DAY6 (Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon) will be the first K-pop band to enter Gocheok Sky Dome.

On November 11th, DAY6 announced through their official account that they would be holding a special concert titled 'The Present'. 'The Present' is DAY6's year-end concert series, which is called 'Gift Concert' among DAY6 members and MyDay (official fandom name).

According to the announcement, DAY6 will hold a solo concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul on Friday, December 20th at 7 PM and Saturday, December 21st at 6 PM. The fan club pre-sale will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 8 PM, and the general sale will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 8 PM.

DAY6, who previously held a solo concert at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul in April, drawing an audience of 11,000 per show and a total of 34,000, moved to Incheon Inspire Arena in September at the request of K-pop fans to reserve a large-scale concert venue befitting their name as a "representative K-pop band" and the theme of "Superstar Band," and sold out all 40,000 tickets over three days.

It is a first in K-pop history for a domestic band to hold a solo concert at Gocheok Dome. The official maximum capacity of Gocheok Dome is known to be 16,000 to 17,000. In the case of solo singer Lim Young-woong, who entered Gocheok Dome in 2022, he met with 18,000 fans per concert, and a total of 36,000 fans over two days. DAY6 is expected to break their own record in terms of audience mobilization per concert through this Gocheok Dome concert.
