She is no longer the youngest of the 'righteous girl'. She is actress Seo Hyun who showed off her powerful acting transformation as an exorcist. She appeared in the movie 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' produced by Ma Dong-seok. From a pretty youngest, she became an exorcist who carries out exorcisms. She has the talent to summon demons. Her thick eye makeup is unfamiliar yet powerful.

Seohyun said in an interview held at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 23rd, “This is my first time watching a movie in theaters. After watching this film, I thought I could show what I could do. I wanted to show more than what was expected.”

'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' is an occult action film about a city in chaos caused by an evil-worshiping group, and the dark solvers 'Holy Night' Team Bau (Ma Dong-seok), Sharon (Seo Hyun), and Kim Gun (David David) with special abilities, who eliminate the evil group.

“When I received the script, I liked the fact that they gave me various roles. Actually, I was a little scared because I had never seen the horror genre before, but I wanted to challenge myself in terms of acting.”

Seohyun, who plays the role of Sharon, who exorcises a group of evil beings in the drama, completed a mysterious visual that blends the worldviews of the East and the West with intense colors in her costume, hair, and makeup. She also received praise for properly turning into a dark person by attempting a drastic acting transformation that was the complete opposite of her existing image.

“I think the character of ‘Sharon’ was more clearly imprinted on me because the costume and makeup team did a great job. I don’t think I did everything with my looks. At first, I thought, ‘Is it okay for me to appear like this?’ but I gained confidence when people around me said that I looked exactly like that character.”

When asked if he deliberately chooses challenging works, he said, “I choose them when I think, ‘This looks fun, I want to try it.’ I choose them when I clearly think that I can show a different side of myself.” He continued, “I acknowledge the image of Barda, but people who meet me ask, ‘Why are you so different?’ They think of me as the same as I was 15 years ago.”

“If I have any ambition as an actor, I want to show a new side of myself by bringing out the various sides of myself. I think I’ve been imprinted with one image as the youngest member of Girls’ Generation for 20 years. I’ve always had a thirst to show a different side of myself with every project. I’m grateful that they saw this project, imagined this side of me, and suggested it to me.”

Seo Hyun expressed her passion for acting, saying that she also likes intense roles like serial killers and psychopaths, but she also laughed and said, “I don’t like characters that expose themselves. That line is clear. I don’t want to expose myself, so other than that, I’m open to anything.”

“I am not afraid of anything in life. I have become stronger through numerous experiences. When I act, I don’t think about my image. I think I can show my inner self through acting at any time.
