[talk] Taeyeon joins Singer Again 4 as a judge

[SPOTV News=Reporter Jeong Hye-won] Singer Taeyeon shared her thoughts on joining as a new judge on 'Singer Gain 4'.

Taeyeon said at the online production conference for JTBC's 'Singer Gain - Unknown Singer War Season 4' (hereafter 'Singer Gain 4') held on the morning of the 14th, "I am approaching it seriously and carefully."

"Singer Again 4" is an audition program that gives desperate singers a second chance to stand before the public. It has proven the inherent value of audition by rediscovering previously unknown singers, forgotten artists, and emerging talents, earning immense popularity.

Experienced MC Lee Seung-gi, who is trusted and respected, is leading the charge, and judges Im Jae-beom, Yoon Jong-shin, Baek Ji-young, Kim Eana, Kyuhyun, Lee Hae-ri, and Code Kunst are joining the cast once again. The addition of Girls' Generation member and all-round diva Taeyeon raises expectations for a season unlike any other.

Taeyeon said, "I'm a new member of 'Singer Again 4'. I just joined, but I've always liked and enjoyed the program, so I feel familiar with it. I joined this time to experience and feel the hidden treasures firsthand. Please look forward to my comments and the contestants' performances."

Taeyeon said, "I'm honored to be able to work with such great judges. I also think it's a very important position. I think it's an important position where I can give hope, opportunities, and advice to someone, so I decided to join with the intention of approaching it quite seriously and carefully." She added, "It's a program I've always liked, so I even did some internal critiques at home. I think it's a great experience to be able to come here and see and feel the performance right in front of my eyes."

He continued, "Since it was my first time judging, I questioned myself, wondering if I had strict standards. I placed a lot of importance on how well the applicants understood and expressed their strengths."

CP Yoon Hyun-joon said, "If we hadn't cast her as a judge, we would have brought her from somewhere else first. She was the main vocalist of the best girl group, and it's not easy to reach the top as a solo singer, but she's the best singer who has personally accomplished it," and praised her, saying, "She said she wanted to help our singers. She said she kept watching 'Singer Again' and gave the judges' critiques by herself, and it must have been effective because she's really good at it."

PD Wi Jae-hyuk said, "If you look at the application forms for participating singers, there is a space to write down your favorite singer, and Taeyeon has been featured a lot since Season 1. I really wanted to invite her because I think she is a singer of singers. I am looking forward to the judges giving their critiques from various perspectives."
