Lim Young-woong's fan club members in northeastern Seoul donated $3,000 to help people with developmental disabilities.
Lim Young-woong's fan club 'Seoul Northeast Heroes' announced that its fan club members donated money to the Nowon branch of the Seoul Parents' Association for the Disabled on June 18.
This donation will be used to hold a photo exhibition for the developmentally disabled called 'I am also a Photographer'. The ceremony was attended by photographer Na Young-gyun, vice principal of Seoul Jeongmin School, Nowon Branch President Yoo Su-hyeon, and about 10 members of 'Seoul Northeast Heroes'.
Seoul Jungmin School is a special school for students with severe brain damage, and due to budget constraints and lack of professional staff, teachers have been taking graduation photos themselves. After learning about this, author Na Young-gyun has been supporting photo shoots every year through Nowon-gu Office’s budget.
This year, I planned a special wedding photo shoot for people with developmental disabilities and brain damage who have difficulty getting married, but I was unable to receive support from the local government due to budgetary difficulties. When Chairman Yoo Su-hyeon heard this news, he asked for help from the 'Seoul Northeast Heroes' and was connected with a member who was looking for a donation.
The member has been consistently carrying out sharing activities. In April 2024, he donated $3,000 to the 'Gabriel Workshop' of the Korea Association for the Physically Disabled through the Nowon Education and Welfare Foundation, and in November of the same year, he donated $3,000 to the Hallym Burn Foundation.
This member said that she had gone through a difficult time after losing her husband and battling cancer, but she found great comfort in Lim Young-woong's songs and began donating to join in on his positive influence.
He said he was moved by the song and donated
You are really cool.
