Singer Lim Young-woong has once again proven his immense popularity.

According to Nielsen Korea, a TV ratings research company, the KBS2 entertainment program "Immortal Songs" aired the previous day recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 6.8%. This was the highest rating recorded in its time slot and ranked second among all terrestrial programs broadcast on the same day.

This is the Lim Young-woong effect. On this day, "Immortal Songs" featured a special episode titled "Lim Young-woong and Friends," featuring Lim Young-woong and his musical friends No Brain, Jeon Jong-hyuk, and Lee Juck, who each showcased their musical worlds on stage.

Lim Young-woong, who returned to 'Immortal Songs' five years after the 'Songhae Song Festival' special, said, "I first suggested this special to the production team because I thought it would be fun to create various stages with my favorite friends."

The cast was personally selected by Lim Young-woong. No Brain's Lee Seong-woo is Lim Young-woong's personal English instructor, and Jeon Jong-hyeok plays goalkeeper for the soccer team owned by Lim Young-woong. Finally, Lee Juck was introduced as the composer Lim Young-woong most wants to receive a song from. Lee Juck composed Lim Young-woong's songs, including "Can We Meet Again?"

They also shared stories that offered a glimpse into the charm of "Lim Young-woong the man" offstage. Jeon Jong-hyuk, in particular, drew attention by testifying to the extraordinary scale of the team's support, saying, "The owner (Lim Young-woong) even provides the soccer team with supplies out of his own pocket. He provides more support than most second-tier league teams."

The broadcast also featured the first public performance of Lim Young-woong's new song, "Moment Like Eternity," from his second album. Lim Young-woong described the song as "a song that captures the preciousness of ordinary life and the beauty of everyday life," and his powerful voice captured the audience's admiration with its lyrical melody and lyrics.

Meanwhile, 'Im Young-woong and Friends' is planned as a two-part series, and the second part will air on September 6th at 6:05 PM.
