Lim Young-woong appeared in the 30th round of the Hana Bank K League 1 match between Daejeon Hana Citizen and Daegu FC held at Daejeon World Cup Stadium on the 20th.

Lim Young-woong, the face of Hana Financial Group, the parent company of Daejeon, performed at the opening ceremony and halftime. Appearing on the field in a Daejeon uniform, Lim cheered, "I hope the players play without injury." After scoring the opening goal with a penalty kick, he pumped his fist in celebration, drawing cheers from the crowd.

As the first half ended, Lim Young-woong reappeared on the field. He passionately performed "Melody for You," a track from his second full-length album, "I'm Hero 2." Known for his love of soccer, Lim Young-woong utilized his exceptional understanding of the sport to help maintain the stadium's condition.

Lim Young-woong stepped onto the field wearing futsal shoes to minimize damage to the turf. Backup dancers also joined in the effort to protect the turf by dancing outside the sidelines, where the game wasn't taking place. Lim Young-woong himself, when he was called to dance, stepped outside the sidelines, drawing admiration from fans.

Daejeon also gained momentum thanks to Lim Young-woong's support. Led by two goals from "goal-scorer" Joo Min-kyu, Daejeon defeated Daegu 3-2. Notably, after scoring a goal in the 30th minute of the first half, putting the team ahead 1-0, Joo Min-kyu and Lim Young-woong performed the signature "Geonhaeng" (healthy and happy) celebration pose, a symbol of the "Heroes' Generation."

After the match, Joo Min-kyu praised Lim Young-woong, saying, "I've met him before, and we've even shared meals together. He's a very considerate person." He added, "I've been enjoying listening to Lim Young-woong's second album lately," and added, "I was planning on doing a celebration to wish him great success after he scored, and I'm so happy I was able to do it."
