축구에 대한 열정이 대단해요 어릴적에 꿈이였어요
Singer Lim Young-woong will be watching the Korean national soccer team play in person.
According to My Daily's coverage on the 10th, Lim Young-woong will be watching the friendly match between South Korea and Brazil at the World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
An official who knows the two well said, "Lim Young-woong was unable to attend the friendly match against Mexico on the 10th of last month due to his filming schedule, so he asked for tickets to this match. Since then, he has been eagerly awaiting the day of Son Heung-min's match."
Lim Young-woong, who briefly played soccer during his school days, is known for his deep affection for the sport. He has even said, "If I hadn't become a singer, I would have become a soccer player," demonstrating his keen interest in all things soccer.
Lim Young-woong was also offered a chance to perform at a national team match in the past, but he politely declined, citing concerns about potential ticketing disruptions for soccer fans, leaving a heartwarming anecdote. At the 2023 FC Seoul vs. Daegu FC halftime show, he and the dancers wore soccer cleats on stage to prevent damage to the turf. After the performance, he was caught muttering, "Is the grass okay?" as he left the stage, drawing attention.
The following year, he prioritized grass conservation by eliminating "ground seats" at his solo concert, and in November of the same year, he hosted a charity soccer match, donating all proceeds of 1.2 billion won. He also continued his ties to soccer, performing the opening ceremony and halftime performance at the Daejeon Hana Citizen vs. Daegu FC match on the 20th of last month, his first in two years.
Currently, Lim Young-woong is playing for 'Returns FC', which he founded, and on the JTBC entertainment show 'Let's Eat Dinner Together 4', he is scheduled to lead the KA League joint team as the successor to coach Park Hang-seo.
Your love for soccer is truly amazing.
