[talk] “I want to see the hero’s performance once more as a movie”… A theater dyed in sky blue
This work consists of a live concert held by singer Lim Young-woong at Seoul World Cup Stadium (Sangam Beol) on May 25th and 26th and the stories behind the concert. It was screened in general theaters, IMAX, and ScreenX on the day of its release. 'Lim Young-woong | I'm Hero the Stadium' is the first live concert film to be released simultaneously in IMAX and ScreenX.
Although this work is exclusive content that can only be seen at CGV, it has recorded the highest advance ticket sales among all movies. In the theater industry, which has been in a slump recently, it has recorded an advance ticket sales figure of approximately 130,000, which is difficult for even Hollywood blockbusters to achieve.
In particular, the IMAX theater at Yongsan I-PARK MALL, which boasts the largest screen in Korea, was the scene of 'picketing' (a fierce competition to reserve tickets that resulted in blood being splattered) as soon as ticket sales began.
On this day, from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, five screenings were held, and most of the 624 seats were sold, excluding some seats for the disabled. If we calculate it simply by the number of viewers, it means that over 3,000 people flocked to one theater to watch the live performance of Lim Young-woong.
