[talk] Chinese ticket scalper, Lim Young-woong concert tickets can be purchased with Korean accounts"
It has been pointed out that Chinese ticket scalpers are purchasing Korean accounts to purchase tickets to popular Korean concerts by Korean Wave stars.
At the Science, Technology, Information, Broadcasting and Communications Committee's audit of the Korea Internet & Security Agency held at the National Assembly on the 10th, Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Hoon-ki pointed out that "Chinese people are trading tickets to Lim Young-woong's concerts on the black market using information about Koreans that has been illegally distributed."
Rep. Lee Hoon-ki said, "Chinese ticket scalpers illegally trade Korean verified accounts for 450 to 650 yuan (85,000 to 123,000 won) and then purchase tickets on domestic ticket reservation sites in China."
He emphasized that the identity verification process on domestic reservation sites does not work properly, allowing people in China to sign up as if they were locals.
However, the lawmaker claims that the Korea Internet & Security Agency was not aware of this fact until it requested the relevant data in August.
The lawmaker called for mandatory inspections of over 23,000 identity verification-related organizations.
