YouTuber Eom Eun-hyang and Lim Young-woong threaten to sue fans for parodying “What?”

Comedy YouTuber Eom Eun-hyang claims she was threatened with a lawsuit by fans after parodying singer Lim Young-woong's DM controversy.

On December 18, Eom Eun-hyang posted a photo on social media with the caption, “While others are preparing for Christmas, I am preparing for Lunar New Year a step ahead.”

The released photo shows Eom Eun-hyang cooking on the veranda, smiling while looking at the camera in comfortable clothing.

Along with this, Eom Eun-hyang added, "With just a pancake mix and a spatula, you can instantly create a holiday atmosphere. Isn't this the true ubiquitous attitude of this era? But isn't it too early? Others are singing Christmas carols? What? Am I a singer? Speak up," parodying the controversy over Lim Young-woong's DM (direct message).

On the 19th, Eom Eun-hyang revealed on social media that she had been threatened with a lawsuit by fans, saying, "Is 'what' a forbidden word? I can't even speak. Or who patented this? So that only 'a certain person' can use it? Where would I live if I were scared? Knock knock. They are threatening to sue for censorship that even the country isn't doing."

Then, Eom Eun-hyang added, "That's a word that became extinct in 2024. What? What is it? What+yo is allowed, but what+yo is NO! It has a detection power greater than Volt Mort! No more threats for using background music! It's because it's a version by another singer," and inserted 'Love Always Runs Away' as the background music.
