According to the results of a survey on '2024 Singer of the Year' announced by Korea Gallup on the 23rd, New Jeans took first place with 25.5% support among those in their 30s or younger (13-39 years old), and trot singer Lim Young-woong took first place with 33.9% support among those in their 40s or older.

This stark difference was interpreted as revealing a cultural gap between generations that goes beyond simple music tastes.
This survey was conducted three times in July, September-October, and November, targeting 5,281 people aged 13 or older nationwide, excluding Jeju.

Respondents were asked to choose up to three of their favorite Korean pop singers and groups who were active this year.
