It seems like this record will be hard to break for a while.

According to the results of a survey titled ' 2024 Singer of the Year' released by Gallup Korea on the 23rd , New Jeans took first place with 25.5 % support among those in their 30s or younger ( 13-39 years old), while trot singer Lim Young-woong took first place with 33.9 % support among those in their 40s or older.

These stark differences are interpreted as revealing a cultural gap between generations that goes beyond simple musical tastes.

This survey was conducted three times in July, September-October , and November , targeting 5,281 people aged 13 or older nationwide, excluding Jeju. Respondents chose up to three of their favorite Korean pop singers and groups who were active this year.
