[talk] IU, Bangkok concert after 5 years... Perfectly captivates local fans
[Sports Seoul | Reporter Kim Hyun-deok] Singer IU also successfully completed her meeting with fans in Bangkok.
IU successfully completed the '2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN BANGKOK' held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok on the 29th and 30th.
IU started the concert by decorating the stage with local child dancers with "Holcsi." The fans who filled the concert hall responded with cheers and shouts of joy as the artist appeared in a lift. She then heated up the scene by performing her hit songs one by one, including "Jam Jam," "Afu," "Bbibbi," "Obliviate," "Celebrity," "Blueming," "Eight," "Coin," "Gwanak-i Beolgeong-i Beolgeong-i," "Night Letter," "Shopper," "Time's Outside," "You and I," "Love Wins All," "Shh..", and "Twenty Three."
Especially for this concert, they covered the local artist NONT TANONT's 'First Love', and since it is a familiar song to Bangkok fans, the atmosphere on site was heightened. After that, they finished the official set list and performed 'Drama', 'Lilac', 'Meet Me on Friday', 'Palette', 'Someday', and on the second day, they decorated the finale of the concert with 'unlucky', 'Mureup', 'Good Day', 'Lilac', and 'Palette'.
Bangkok fans actively expressed their feelings for IU, including cheering and singing along in Korean for all the songs, and prepared a 'slogan event' for both days, creating a spectacular scene in the stadium. Thanks to their support, IU also showed her feelings for her fans without holding back. Following the previous cities, she presented all of the fans with reverse tribute gifts that she had prepared in advance in Korea, and she caught the eye by occasionally communicating in Thai to repay the support of Bangkok fans who visited her for the first time in about 5 years.
In addition, this Bangkok concert not only sold out all the tickets from the time of sale, but also had over 100 major local media outlets attend to cover the event, proving the artist’s passionate interest. IU ended her local schedule by saying to the audience, “I will come back before this memory fades. Stay healthy. See you again. I love you!”
Meanwhile, IU will begin her Osaka concert schedule on July 6th and 7th. khd9987@sportsseoul.com
