A petition has been filed to cancel singer IU's concert.

On the 11th, a petition was filed in the National Petition, saying, "We strongly urge that the upcoming IU concert be canceled immediately in order to maintain the grass at the World Cup Stadium until the '2026 FIFA North & Central America World Cup 3rd Qualifying Round' match between South Korea and Iraq on October 15th."

The person who wrote the complaint claimed, "The Seoul Facilities Corporation Seoul World Cup Stadium Management Office cited 'hot weather' and 'lack of personnel' as the causes in their response on the 9th to a complaint pointing out the 'condition of the grass,' so it seems inevitable that the condition of the grass will worsen further with a large crowd gathering at the venue on the day of IU's concert. Since the '2026 FIFA North & Central America World Cup 3rd round qualifier' match between South Korea and Iraq is scheduled to be held at Sangam World Cup Stadium on October 15, it is judged that all efforts will have to be made to manage the grass for the remaining period."
