Singer and actress IU donated 10 million won to help low-income families in Yangpyeong-gun to prepare for the winter.

According to Yangpyeong County on the 30th, IU donated 10 million won on the 26th to the Love Coal Briquette Collection Campaign to help low-income vulnerable groups in Yangpyeong County have a warm winter.

IU has been donating to the local community since she built a country house in Yangpyeong-gun where her family lives, and she has been making steady donations to the local community. Starting with a donation of 50 million won in 2020, she has donated a total of 145 million won to Yangpyeong-gun to date.

This donation will be used to support heating costs for vulnerable groups such as basic welfare recipients and single-parent families to have a warm winter.

IU recently became a hot topic for donating a total of 500 million won under the name 'IUana', a combination of her stage name and the name of her fan club 'Uaena', ahead of Christmas.
