Hite Jinro announced that it will renew its contract with IU, the 10-year model for its soju 'Chamiseul'.

Singer IU was first selected as the advertising model for Chamisul in 2014. After that, Red Velvet member Irene worked for a year in 2019, but HiteJinro re-selected IU as the successor model.

IU has once again broken her own record as the longest-serving model in the liquor industry. She is setting a new record as the longest-serving soju model, surpassing the records of Lee Hyori, who worked as a model for nearly five years, and Suzy, who worked for four years.
