[All] Starship: “Sharing Ahn Yu-jin’s Deepfake Photos, Bowing Our Heads and Apologizing”

Starship Entertainment (hereafter referred to as Starship) posted an apology regarding the sharing of deepfake photos of its artist Ive.

On the 15th, Starship stated, “We sincerely bow our heads and apologize to our artist An Yu-jin and fans who were deeply hurt by the gross negligence of our employee in charge of Chinese SNS on the 9th.”

He continued, “This incident was confirmed to be a problem resulting from our company’s negligence in management, and we have taken the highest level of disciplinary action against the employee in question and excluded him from related work.” He promised, “We will thoroughly reorganize our internal management system to ensure that such an unfortunate incident never happens again.”

Starship Entertainment also said that they had sincerely apologized to Ahn Yu-jin, adding, “We will do our best to prevent any additional damage related to this.”
