[talk] Jang Dong-gun: "If I had an ordinary face... I would feel like 'I'm getting old too'"

Actor Jang Dong-gun commented on the changes in his 'face'.

On the 11th, director Jin-ho Heo and actor Dong-gun Jang of the movie 'An Ordinary Family' appeared on 'Cine Invitation Seat' of SBS PowerFM's 'Park Ha-sun's Cinetown' and shared various stories.

He continued, "Many of the roles I've played up until now have been unrealistic. This time, it's a character that could exist in reality, so I thought that if Director Jin-ho Heo directed it with this scenario, it would be a fun and meaningful piece. When I met Director Jin-ho Heo again, his approach to movies remained the same, but seeing him adapt well to changes in environment, I thought, 'He's evolved.'"

While saying that 'Ordinary Family' will feature 'natural person Jang Dong-gun', he said, "I see my face a lot in real life, but my previous works were historical dramas, so I had a lot of makeup on, but this is probably the only movie I've shot without blood on my face." He continued, "When I saw natural person Jang Dong-gun on the monitor, it felt unfamiliar and strange at first. I also thought, 'He looks older now,' and it helped me a lot while working on this movie."

Director Heo Jin-ho praised him, saying, "In this work, we saw his acting, not his face. There was a scene filmed by the Han River, and even though the wind was blowing and his face was covered, we didn't re-film it like that. I really liked how he only looked like a father."

Even though he's old, he still has a mature feel to him.
