The production company, Studio Dragon, stated on the 11th, "Since its first broadcast in August, it has been ranked in the Netflix Global TOP 10 TV category for a whopping 11 consecutive weeks, setting a record for double-crossing box office success both domestically and internationally. It has caught the attention of K-drama fans, recording a cumulative 28 million viewers and 340.2 million viewing hours on Netflix over the 11 weeks."
Accordingly, they say they will hold overseas pop-up stores one after another amid global popularity.
Studio Dragon, in collaboration with Japan's Interactive Media Mix, will be holding a 'Mom's Friend's Son' pop-up store in four Japanese cities, including Tokyo. Starting in Fukuoka on the 21st, the pop-up stores will be held at Tower Records in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya until February next year. 'Mom's Friend's Son' was ranked in the TOP 10 of the Netflix TV category for a total of 7 weeks throughout its broadcast in Japan, so it's incredibly popular overseas as well. Haha.
