Singer Kang Daniel (29) suffered theft of his performance costumes and props during his US tour.
Kang Daniel, who finished his concert in Los Angeles on the 20th (local time), was reportedly robbed while moving to a concert in San Jose on the 22nd. Local thieves broke into a staff member's vehicle and stole a carrier containing costumes, hair and makeup tools, and other items to be used for the concert.
The staff then went to a nearby shopping mall and hurriedly purchased new costumes and makeup supplies, and after many twists and turns, they were finally able to prepare for the San Jose performance.
On the 23rd, an agency official explained in a phone call with Maeil Business Newspaper's Star Today, "It was a very embarrassing incident, but the on-site staff and artists prepared hastily, even if it was insufficient, and after many twists and turns, we were able to finish the performance safely."
Kang Daniel also revealed this fact. On this day, he posted in English on his social media, “All of our luggage was stolen. They took everything, including our costumes, hair and makeup tools, and even our MD goods,” and “Let’s still make the concert enjoyable.”
Kang Daniel, who won first place on Mnet's 'Produce 101' Season 2 in 2017 and debuted as a member of the project group Wanna One, has since been active as a solo singer and actor.
Kang Daniel, who boasts high global popularity, concluded his US tour on the 3rd, visiting 12 cities including Washington, New York, Chicago, and LA. He also plans to meet with South American fans by visiting Buenos Aires, Argentina; São Paulo, Brazil; and Mexico City.
