'North Star' Jeon Ji-hyun cited Kang Dong-won as the reason for choosing the film.

On the morning of the 2nd, a production presentation for Disney+'s original series 'North Star' was held at the Grand Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The production conference was attended by actors Jun Ji-hyun, Kang Dong-won, Lee Mi-sook, Park Hae-joon, Kim Hae-sook, Yoo Jae-myung, Oh Jung-se, Lee Sang-hee, Joo Jong-hyuk, and directors Kim Hee-won and Heo Myung-haeng.

On this day, Jun Ji-hyun drew attention when she said about why she chose "North Star," "Above all, it's the work of director Kim Hee-won and writer Jeong Seo-kyung, so as an actress, I was extremely ambitious about it. Above all, I really wanted to film with Kang Dong-won before it was too late, so I chose this project."

He also described his character in the drama, saying, "UN Ambassador Seo Moon-joo is a character who gets involved in a case and digs into it. She's a strong yet bold character."

Meanwhile, "North Star" tells the story of Moon-ju (Jun Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a UN ambassador, as she pursues the mastermind behind the assassination of a presidential candidate. Along with San-ho (Kang Dong-won), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, they confront a profound truth threatening the Korean Peninsula. The film premieres on September 10th.
