KATSEYE, a girl group formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, appeared on the stage of America's largest music festival, 'Lollapalooza Chicago', just one year after their debut, captivating tens of thousands of audience members with a 40-minute performance of nine songs.
The number of simultaneous viewers on Weverse and YouTube live streaming reached 370,000, and a total of over 420,000 people watched their performance.
KATSEYE decorated the stage with songs such as 'Gameboy', 'Gabriela', and 'Gnarly', and the 'Mean Girls' stage filmed by the members themselves and the 'Gabriela' dance break that reinterpreted the Latin rhythm were especially impressive.
They clearly revealed their identity with a stage composition that organically blended the concept, direction, and performance of each song, and maximized the individuality of the members and team synergy with specially made intense red colored costumes.
The members shared their thoughts, saying, "This is the stage we've dreamed of since we were young," and raised fans' expectations by announcing a North American tour concert in November. They are also gearing up for a performance at Japan's "Summer Sonic 2025" on August 16th and 17th, drawing the attention of global fans.
Catseye is really amazing! I saw the Lollapalooza performance video, and I have to admit that they are a talented girl group for putting on a performance like this in just one year.
Especially the 'Gabriela' dance break gave me goosebumps the whole time I was watching it.. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming North American tour.
Wow, 420,000 people enjoyed it together! It's obvious they put a lot of thought into the Lollapalooza Chicago stage design and costumes. The idea of the members filming themselves was refreshing, and their teamwork looks amazing. Yesummer, all of their upcoming songs are sure to be huge hits.
