[talk] [Exclusive] Trot singer Kim Ho-joong under investigation for causing a traffic accident in Gangnam, Seoul and fleeing the scene

It has been confirmed that famous trot singer Kim Ho-joong is under police investigation after being caught in the act of causing a traffic accident and fleeing the scene.

Seoul Gangnam Police Department is investigating Mr. Kim on charges of post-accident measures.

Mr. Kim is accused of causing a collision with an oncoming taxi while changing lanes in Sinsa-dong, Seoul at around 11:40 p.m. on the 9th and then fleeing the scene.

Afterwards, it was reported that Mr. A, an official from Mr. Kim's company, visited the police station and confessed that he, not Mr. Kim, was driving Mr. Kim's vehicle.

During the police investigation, Kim reportedly stated that he did not drive the night before and returned home, but later admitted it when questioned by the police.

Police are also said to be investigating the possibility that Kim was driving under the influence.
