Lee Chan-won won the KBS Entertainment Award, beating out MC Jeon Hyun-moo.

Lee Chan-won won the grand prize at the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' held at the KBS New Wing Public Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul from the afternoon of the 21st to the morning of the 22nd, beating out Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon Hyun-moo, Ryu Soo-young, and Kim Jong-min.

There was interest in whether Jeon Hyun-moo would win his first entertainment award from his hometown KBS, but the honor went to Lee Chan-won.

In his acceptance speech, Lee Chan-won reflected, "I first set foot on KBS 16 years ago through 'National Singing Contest', and since my official debut in 2020, I have worked with KBS on many programs."

He said, "Last year and the year before, I secretly prepared my acceptance speech because I thought there might be a slight possibility. This year, I didn't expect it, so I didn't prepare an acceptance speech."

He continued, "Recently, a singer said, 'Why are you doing broadcasts like that?' instead of focusing on singing. I've loved broadcasts and entertainment since I was young. I don't think I'll ever give up being a broadcaster or entertainer. KBS gave birth to me, raised me, and even gave me an honorable award. It's like my hometown."^^
