Lee Jong-suk's next project, tvN's new drama "Seocho-dong" (written by Lee Seung-hyun, directed by Park Seung-woo), is a cheerful and passionate youth drama about "office worker" associate lawyers (short for the English title for associate lawyers employed by law firms) who go to work at Seocho-dong Law Town every day. It is a realistic story of a "real" lawyer who has set foot on reality, written by an actual practicing lawyer, and will depict the growth period of lawyers who grow while handling cases that can happen in our daily lives and around us.
Lee Jong-suk plays Ahn Joo-hyung, a 9-year veteran lawyer with a mastery of factual violence and logic. Joo-hyung became a lawyer simply because he found logic and cases interesting. From the beginning, he had no 'meaning' that lawyers protect the weak, implement justice, and change the world. Joo-hyung is just a 9-year veteran. He has been with the same company for 9 years without changing jobs, and his work is as good as his seniority. He is a veteran in the associate industry who has set a new associate salary record but does not open his own practice because it is too much of a hassle. For Joo-hyung, the perfectly peaceful 'workplace' begins to crack.
The production will be directed by Park Seung-woo, who has shown unique imagination and delicate directing through the dramas 'Kairos' and 'Adamas'. He previously worked with Lee Jong-suk in 'W', which won him the grand prize. Attention is focused on the synergy between the unique and delicate directing and Lee Jong-suk, who is trustworthy. The script will be written by writer Lee Seung-hyun. As a practicing lawyer, he is expected to unfold colorful episodes through the cases he closely observed and experienced in the fierce real life of an associate lawyer.
