Jeon So-mi will release the digital single 'EXTRA' at 6 PM today (the 7th) and begin promotions. This is her first comeback in about 11 months since the single 'Ice Cream' released in August of last year, and you will be able to see Jeon So-mi's expanded musical spectrum.


Q. You are releasing new music for the first time in about 10 months with the new digital single 'EXTRA'. How do you feel about your comeback?

A:  It's a song that I love and am satisfied with. I think that after listening to this song, you will see the music I want to express and the direction I want to go. I'm not nervous because I'm preparing hard for the comeback, and I want to listen to the song with the fans soon and see their reactions!

Q. How would you describe 'EXTRA' in one word? I'm also curious about what you thought when you first heard the song. .

A: I think it's such a masterpiece that it's hard to describe it in one word. I felt like it was a leisurely song overall, but with a delicate weight to it!

Q. You've shown a lively and bubbly image through your music so far, such as 'High Teen Girl' and 'Summer Queen', but this time, 'EXTRA' caught people's attention with a different image from the teaser. I'm curious about how you prepared for the transformation.

A: Before a comeback, rather than deciding on a new concept, I always consider myself and my mood at that time and try to express myself with a song and concept that best suits me. I naturally prepared a comeback song within the range that I can express. I think the new song 'EXTRA' is a mature song that I came across thanks to the many things I've grown and felt over the years.

Q. When preparing a new song, is there anything you focus on the most, such as performance, visuals, concept, and lyrics delivery?

A: I think all elements are important first. I prepare everything as close to perfection as possible, and I have a backup plan just in case, so I feel a little bit more secure. If I had to choose the point that I focused on the most while preparing this new song, it was how can I make it so that more people can listen to and enjoy my songs?

Q. You are planning a solo fan meeting after your comeback. Can you give us a little spoiler about the fan meeting?

A: Since it was my first fan meeting, I had a lot of thoughts about how to prepare. After much thought, I prepared a performance just for 'Sommoongchi' (official fandom name), which I thought 'Sommoongchi' would like the most. It's going to be a chaotic party!

Q. Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to your fans?

A: Cotton Ball! We'll be active until our 'Cotton Swab (Jeon So-mi's official cheering stick)' goes out!
