[All] Jeon So-mi to Meet Aden Cho in Person for "Kadehen Lumi" and Enter Hollywood as an Actress
[Ten Asia = Reporter Lee Min-kyung] Singer Jeon So-mi is advancing into Hollywood.
On the 3rd (local time), American media outlet Deadline reported that Jeon So-mi has been confirmed to appear in the horror thriller film 'Perfect Girl'. The film will also feature actress Aden Cho, who voiced Rumi in the Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', and Adeline Rudolph, the lead actress of 'Mortal Kombat 2'.
"Perfect Girl" is about a K-pop girl group about to debut. It tells the story of a mysterious girl who appears before the trainees competing for four spots in the debut group a week before the final judging. Local media has described the film as a cross between "Scream" and "Black Swan."
The film will feature a six-track original soundtrack, though it's not yet known whether Jeon So-mi will contribute to the soundtrack. Aden Cho will also be producing the film in addition to starring in it.
The film will be directed by Hong Won-ki, founder of Johnny Bros. and director of "Seoul Corridors," "Ghost," and "Zombie Hunter." The screenplay was penned by author and journalist Lynn Q. Yu. Filming will begin in Asia on October 27th.
Meanwhile, Jeon So-mi became known through Mnet's 'Sixteen' and 'Produce 101' Season 1. She later debuted as a member of the project group IOI, and after the group's activities ended, she transitioned into a solo singer and released 'Birthday', 'DUMB DUMB', 'XOXO', and 'Fast Forward'. With her appearance on 'Perfect Girl', Jeon So-mi will begin her career as an actress in addition to her singing career.
