[TenAsia Reporter Jiwon Kim] Following their appearance at the ATA Festival, the group New Beat is captivating global fans with their comeback activities.
The group NEWBEAT (Park Min-seok, Hong Min-seong, Jeon Yeo-yeo-jeong, Choi Seo-hyun, Kim Tae-yang, Jo Yoon-hoo, and Kim Li-woo) will be joining the October comeback fray. This marks their return to the music scene after about seven months since the release of their first full-length album "RAW AND RAD" in March. NEWBEAT is in the final stages of preparation for their new album. Having showcased their unique worldview and musical prowess through their first full-length album, they announced that they will return with an even more mature image.
New Beat is a boy group debuting after eight years from Beat Interactive, home to the crossover group Forestella. The group includes Park Min-seok, formerly of Mnet's "Boyz Planet," and Jeon Yeo-yeo-jeong, formerly of group TO1. All seven members are Korean, a rarity in the recent K-pop market, drawing attention. Their debut with a full-length album is also unusual, demonstrating their confidence in their musicality.
Last month, New Beat performed at 'KCON LA 2025' for the first time in five months since their debut. Their debut performance of their digital single "Cappuccino" received a passionate response. "Cappuccino" shares the same worldview as the pre-released track "JeLLo" from their first full-length album. The track captures the members' excitement and subtle emotions as they awaken after drinking cappuccino instead of jelly.
Even before their debut, New Beat had been connecting with their global fans through overseas busking. Drawing on their experience gained through performances, they showcased their solid live performance skills. They even performed on music shows, wielding hand-held microphones and performing intense choreography. Having steadily expanded their fandom, they launched an official fan club in August.
New Beat, who declared their ambition at the beginning of their debut, "I want to grow into an idol group that the world will pay attention to." True to their aspirations, they are sweeping the stages of prestigious festivals both domestically and internationally. On the 28th, they will perform at the "ATA Festival 2025" held at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul. They will be joining renowned artists like Kim Jaejoong, The Boyz, Tours, Ha Sungwoon, Cravity, QWER, Fifty Fifty, 82Major, Eunice, and Badvillain to heat up the autumn atmosphere of the Han River.
