(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Park Ha-na = Singer Kwon Jin-ah revealed her recent status of leaving Antenna and establishing a one-person agency.
The MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' that aired on the afternoon of the 5th featured a special episode titled 'JYPick Jjja!' with Park Jin-young, Ahn So-hee, Boom, and Kwon Jin-ah as guests.
Kwon Jin-ah shared her recent news after leaving Antenna, her agency of 10 years, and establishing her own one-person agency. While at Antenna, Kwon Jin-ah received criticism from the likes of Yoo Hee-yeol and Jung Jae-hyung for her variety skills. She expressed her desire to pursue variety shows, saying, "When I meet people in person, they tell me I'm brighter than they think," and confessing her desire to shed the melancholic image associated with music.
When asked why she became independent from Antenna, Kwon Jin-ah confessed, "After working at the company for 10 years, I thought, 'How long can I continue my singing career?' and I felt that now was the time for a change, so I mustered up the courage. I felt that an environmental change was necessary."
Kwon Jin-ah, who said she had no complaints about Antenna, said that she was jokingly told by Antenna CEO Yoo Hee-yeol, "I'll let a snake out when you have a concert," which made everyone laugh. Kwon Jin-ah, who recently released a new song with Park Jin-young, "Happy Hour (On the Way Home)," added to the fun by revealing her ambition, saying, "Our company is small, but I would be grateful if you acquired it."
Meanwhile, MBC's 'Radio Star' is a unique talk show program that disarms guests with sharp wit and brings out real stories, airing every Wednesday at 10:30 PM.
