The Teddy Girl Group's participation in 'New World's Granddaughter' has fallen through.
According to an investigation by Xports News on the 10th, Moon Ji-yoon, the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group Chairman Lee Myung-hee, will not be joining the new girl group debuting under The Black Label. It was recently reported that her participation in the debut group fell through.
The Black Label, led by producer Teddy, formerly of group One Tyme, is preparing to debut a girl group within the first half of this year.
It was previously reported that the new girl group being introduced by The Black Label will feature American child actress and model Ella Gross and famous dancer Bailey Suk. 'New World's granddaughter' Moon Ji-yoon was also mentioned as a member of the girl group.
There was a lot of attention on whether the granddaughter of a conglomerate family would debut in a K-pop girl group, but The Black Label and Moon Ji-yoon recently decided that the group will not debut. Accordingly, The Black Label is preparing to debut a new girl group within the first half of the year without the 'New World granddaughter.'
Meanwhile, Teddy has been recognized for his ability as he produced girl groups such as 2NE1 and Blackpink from YG Entertainment. As the head of The Black Label, he is currently preparing to launch the 'Teddy Girl Group'.
Moon Ji-yoon, who was a trainee at The Black Label, is the daughter of Shinsegae Department Store Division President Jung Yoo-kyung. President Jung Yoo-kyung is the younger sister of Shinsegae Department Store Chairman Jung Yong-jin.
