On the 7th, Gree revealed through a video posted on his YouTube channel 'Greegura' that he "will be enlisting in the Marine Corps on July 29th." In the video, Gree revealed the reason for volunteering for the Marine Corps, saying that he "wanted to become more self-reliant and learn how to survive on his own a little more."

He mentioned the public's view of him, saying, "Some people say I'm optimistic and live a leisurely life. On the other hand, some people say I live carelessly."
