[All] I am a victim of the Miryang incident. Please read this (written by the victim's younger sister)
YouTuber “Panseok” recorded the video using his phone’s automatic recording function when the victim contacted him 7 months ago, but only now uploaded it without the victim’s consent.
As the victim's younger sister who watched the video, I asked the victim (older sister) about the situation and she said she didn't remember most of it, that she had to verify her identity through a video call, that it was difficult, and that she only remembered a few things. As shown at the end of the video, the victim said that she would delete it if she requested it, so after uploading the video, I requested that she take it down starting at 10:26 via text message, and I tried to contact her by email and by calling the office at 12:55, but I couldn't reach her.
And then at 17:16, an employee called to ask where I was, and I (the victim's younger sister) was the person involved in the video that was uploaded today and I would like to request its deletion, but I said I was an employee and did not have the authority, and I would pass it on to the CEO but asked if I could verify my identity, and when I asked how to verify my identity, they tried to avoid the issue and said they would contact me (since it was an iPhone and calls couldn't be recorded, I had to answer the phone in a hurry so there is no recording) 17:49 Panseok himself said in the phone and video that he would take it down if I asked him to, but he talked a lot.
When I requested deletion, he said he had something to do and would call me in 1 hour and 30 minutes. When he called me at 19:45, he said he was upset and that he was being sued for holding a one-man protest at Uiryeong Police Station and visiting a noodle restaurant, putting pressure on me.
I asked if the perpetrator was threatening me through the video, and asked if I saw the comments saying that viewers were worried while mentioning their subscriber nicknames. There were more critical comments asking why the victim's voice was released without being altered, but I held back in order to delete the video.
He said that he had not met anyone and that this was his first time talking on the phone, and that although the victim had consented at the time, she now did not want to and wanted it deleted. However, he did not take the video down after 17:49 and left it as is until 23:37, but he sent a text message at 23:45 saying that he was organizing it and that there was a turn, so please wait. Let's talk at 23:47. As of now, it has not been deleted up to 1:33.
The victim himself is having a hard time because of the YouTuber's video, which he doesn't remember now, as he didn't have the ability to make judgments at the time. YouTuber Pansuk said that if he had changed his voice, there would be a lot of talk because public opinion would have been manipulated, but is public opinion more important than the victim?
I said I wanted the video completely deleted, but I think it's because I'm thinking of my own channel, so I said I'd upload it in a nice way, mentioning the counseling center and the victim's story, but I don't like it, so I'll do it myself.
Mr. Pansuk, please refrain from making any videos or comments on this matter.
*I don't want the verdict to be made public and I asked that it not be used as information. The judge himself said that he wouldn't do that and that he wouldn't post the conversation, but he did. Since you don't want it, delete it immediately. I'm not the victim of the second video call recording.
I, the victim's younger sister, called because the victim didn't want to be the victim.
