We would like to inform you of the results of our legal response, which we have been taking for several months since the second half of last year in close cooperation with investigative authorities, in relation to the illegal acquisition and sale of airline ticket information for Hive Labels artists.

Selling or purchasing illegally obtained artist flight information is clearly an illegal act that threatens the safety of the artist and creates anxiety. Nevertheless, there is an increase in the number of cases of repeatedly checking the illegally obtained artist’s seat information or secretly filming while on the same plane. Using this information, stalking acts have been detected in which artists are continuously approached and even contacted. There are frequent cases of going too far, such as arbitrarily changing the artist’s seat and in-flight meal, and canceling flight reservations to disrupt the schedule.

We have determined that these acts are a very serious problem that goes beyond the level of infringement on the artist's personal information, and threatens their safety and may even cause safety accidents at airports and on aircraft.

To protect our artists from illegally traded airline ticket information and to eradicate illegal trading activities, we have formed a separate task force since September of last year.

Before taking legal action against the leak of personal information, we collected a number of SNS accounts illegally selling artist airline ticket information online and secured evidence that could identify the operators. We filed a complaint with the investigative authorities for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act against the illegal sales accounts and actively cooperated with the investigative authorities’ investigation procedures.

Based on the submitted evidence, the investigative agency conducted a long-term domestic and international investigation to identify the suspects, including those believed to be foreigners, in May, and conducted additional detailed investigations. The suspects are suspected of having sold artist airline ticket information through SNS channels for a long period of time, earning criminal proceeds ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of won.

We plan to actively cooperate with the investigative authorities' additional investigations and future legal procedures. In addition, we will strictly respond to criminal acts that commercialize and trade artists' personal information without any compromise or leniency, and will hold those responsible accountable to the end with a zero-tolerance policy.

In addition, we have inspected related procedures and systems to protect the artist's personal information and prevent further leakage, and requested cooperation from airlines and travel agencies. We will continue to work closely with various organizations to protect the artist's personal information.
