Miryang City, which is being criticized as the 2004 Miryang gang rape incident is being brought to light again, finally issues an apology.

It has been reported that Miryang City and the city council will be issuing an apology on the 25th.

Miryang Mayor Ahn Byeong-gu will apologize to the victims and the nation on behalf of the citizens and promise to eradicate sexual crimes and create a human rights-friendly city.

The Miryang gang rape incident occurred in December 2004 when 44 high school students from the Miryang area lured a female middle school student from Ulsan to Miryang and continued to sexually assault her for a year.

They even issued an apology from their local district.
