[All] Entering a concert with facial recognition… ‘Completely blocking’ macro reservations and black market trading

Concert tickets with biometric information have emerged as an alternative to ultimately blocking black market ticket transactions. This is a measure to prevent concert or fan meeting tickets of popular artists such as the group BTS and singers Lim Young-woong and IU from being traded as black market tickets with millions of won in profit.

This technology is being developed by Andopen, a company selected for the ICT-Music (Music Tech) Content Production Support Project of the Korea Communications Commission this year. When a ticket purchaser who wants to see a specific performance registers his or her face after purchasing a ticket, the individual’s biometric information is stored in the ticket, making it easy to identify the ticket purchaser when entering the venue. Since the ticket contains the original purchaser’s unique biometric information, it cannot be forged or altered. In other words, the inflow of fraudulent agents such as macro programs that purchase large quantities of tickets for the purpose of black market transactions is blocked at the source.

What are you talking about? Ticketing is being controlled by agents and there are so many scammers. It's useless to give out my ID to get a ticket. We need to think about catching the agents.
